Aihualama Trail

Near the end of the Manoa Falls Trail, just before you reach the waterfall, you’ll arrive at the junction with the Aihualama Trail that leads deeper into the rainforest, a more challenging option, and definitely more rugged!

Note, the Aihualama Falls, a sister falls of Manoa Falls, is not on this trail, but can be reached from a trail starting in the nearby Lyon Arboretum.

Kolowalu Trail

A more difficult connector trail from Manoa Falls trail is the Kolowalu trail that climbs up Waahila Ridge.

A great option for those seeking a workout and don’t have time for the Koko Crater Trail, the Kolowalu Trail is steep and offers spectacular views of the lush green Manoa Valley.

Pu’u Pia Trail

If Kolowalu Trail sounds overwhelming, the Pu’u Pia Trail is a better extension to your Manoa Falls hike length, again for about a total of 4 miles round trip.

A gradually ascending trail, the Pu’u Pia Trail is typically less crowded, offering a peaceful, secluded hiking experience through the lush rainforest jungle.
